Austria’s capital community volunteers deliver fact-based drug education with young people across the city

Vienna — 23 December 2025 — Volunteers linked to Foundation for a Drug-Free World Austria have expanded outreach in Vienna, engaging young people, parents and teachers via public information points and event-based activities. The Vienna effort is led by Gabriele Toker, a local organiser, the initiative uses “Truth eu news now About Drugs” materials to provide clear information on drug risks, with particular attention to cannabis, described by public monitoring bodies as the most widely used illicit drug in Europe. According to organisers, the Vienna activities focus on early prevention, including at large public gatherings such as the Donauinselfest, while also connecting with educators interested in classroom-ready resources. Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and the United Nations, noted: “Reliable, early information helps young people make free and responsible choices—supporting both community well-being and European civic values.”
